NCNW854 Three Phase Output Motor Choke for use with an AC Inverter with a continuous output rating of up to 8A
Normally suitable for a 3kW AC Inverter with a 400V Three phase AC Supply.
Normally suitable for a 1.5kW AC Inverters with a 230V Single Phase AC supply where the Three Phase output to the motor is wired for 230V operation.
Fitting an Output Motor Choke has many benefits:
• Reduces motor noise
• Reduces the Voltage peaks of the AC Inverter waveform which can breakdown motor insulation and reduce the motor lifetime
• Off sets the capacitance of long motor cables which can lead to spurious AC Inverter tripping due to excessive leakage current
As a general rule, we would recommend Motor chokes to be fitted to AC Inverters where the total length of motor cable length is between 50 to 150m and the switching frequency is up to 8kHz. For longer cables and higher switching frequencies we would recommend fitting a sin filter (see linked products below). If one AC Inverter is fitted with more than one motor all the cable to all the motors must be considered as the total cable length.
