Product Overview: Invertek Optidrive E3
Invertek Optidrive E3 (Frame Size 1)The Invertek Optidrive E3 is a compact, UK-manufactured variable frequency drive designed for reliable speed control of three-phase induction motors. It is available for both 230V single-phase supply (delivering a three-phase motor output) and 400V three-phase supply, covering a wide power range up to 37kW. Supplied with EMC filters to support CE and UKCA compliance, the E3 is well suited to panel-mounted industrial and commercial applications such as conveyors, pumps, fans and general machinery. Commissioning is fast and straightforward thanks to an intuitive parameter structure and built-in application macros that simplify setup for common control methods.

- Motor Type: Standard AC Induction, PM Synchronous, BLDC and Synchronous Reluctance
- EMC Filter: Fitted with EMC Filter which can be removed from earth if required.
- Mounting: IP20 panel-mounted AC Inverter Drive - IP66 also available
- Direct Replacement for the Optidrive E2
The Optidrive E3 VFD is available in many hardware variations; these details are for the standard IP20 units with either a single-phase 230V or three-phase 400V dedicated AC supply input and three-phase output.

Optidrive E3 Ratings and Frame Size: 0.37kW to 37kW
Details below are for 2 different voltage ratings 230V Single phase mains supply (220-240Vac) or 400V Three phase mains supply (380-480Vac). Please ensure you select the Optidrive E3 to match your Voltage supply as well as the Voltage and Current rating of your three phase motor. Please note that the 1.5kW unit is available in Frame Size 1 or Frame Size 2 - with or without an Internal Brake Switch.

Optidrive E3 Keypad Functionality
The Optidrive E3 has a seven segment display which is fixed. A separate door mounted keypad is available for door mounting if required
Optidrive E3 Control Terminal Details and Default Wiring Diagram
High quality screw control terminals are fitted on every E3. Details of these terminals are given on a pull out menu card on the front of each unit for ease of use
The Optidrive E3 is supplied ready to operate remotely from external controls. Default wiring details are given below however should you need alternative arrangement this is easily achieved using the macro selection within the unit
Optidrive E3 Installation Requirements
The units mentioned on this page are IP20 therefore they must be mounted in a suitable enclosure with adequate ventilation. Any dust must be non-conducting otherwise this will damage the unit. The Optidrive E3 is also available in a IP66 version which has the same functionality and wiring configuration.
Optidrive E3 Options and Accessories
The Optidrive E3 does not have an option slot but external gateways are available if required. As an alternative to Keypad or PC programming Bluetooth parameter access can be achieved using the optional Optistick Smart. This enables parameters to be accessed, changed, saved and stored as required
