Bosch Rexroth ctrlX EtherCAT Master I/O Bus Coupler. This is a Hardware ctrlX Module suitable for use with the ctrlX CORE X3 Controller
When used in conjunction with the crlX CORE X3 the EtherCAT Master Coupler enables additional I/O modules and external device to be connected to the CORE X3 using EtherCAT. The Bus Coupler also supplies all the optional ctrlX I/O Modules with the required Logic Voltage and Peripheral Voltage to operate.
Multiple I/O Modules can be fixed in parallel to the Master Coupler unit via embedded connectors. The first I/O unit fits directly to the righthand side of the Master Coupler (once the protective cover is removed). An additional I/O module can then be added to the previous I/O module and so on creating a continuous bank of I/O Modules all connected to the EtherCAT Master Coupler. Up to 30 units can be connected.
For the EtherCAT Coupler to successfully communicate with the ctrlX CORE X3 controller the EtherCAT Master APP is required along with a EtherCAT Master License. The APP is available directly from Bosch Rexroth ctrlX Automation (link) for a 10 day trail period, for continued use the EtherCAT Master license is required. (please see our linked products below)
